I am a computer science student at MIT who enjoys coding web & iOS apps, studying algorithms & machine learning, and
doing research in combinatorics & game theory.
A website for MIT students that allows users to see which classes their friends are taking, make groups, set a
profile, input favorite classes and advice, and see a calendar with events and due dates. Working project with
Akshaj, Dan, Josh, and Vivek. (HTML, CSS, React, Firebase/MongoDB)
As an intern, I studied options theory and market making strategies (greeks, volatilities, trade types) and applied it to
high-frequency trade crude oil options/futures. My research project involved analyzing volatility changes during
events and holidays to produce new trading strategies. (Python/NumPy, Excel)
An iOS contact tracing app that incentivizes users to social distance. Uses iBeacon technology and initially geared
towards construction site workers. Working project with the fam. (Swift, Firebase)
A website that uses sentiment analysis to determine/estimate public sentiment for reopening the country in April-May 2020.
I coded an algorithm that uses a Bayesian approach to determine whether a tweet was in favor of or against reopening
with over 70% accuracy, given training data. Over a million tweets were analyzed, and results were displayed by state.
Done in collaboration with UMD. (Python, Excel, Twitter API)
Social challenge that encouraged people around the world to take a picture hugging a tree, posting on social media
and tagging 3 friends, and donating to the Rainforest Trust. Achieved >$2500 in donations. I created the website
and helped with marketing. Worked with MIT Sloan Business Club and others. (Squarespace)
Combinatorics research with UMD Professor William Gasarch: given c colors and any tiling of a grid with those colors,
how big does the grid have to be such that there must exist 4 points in a d by d squared (cubed) rectangle
configuration that are colored monochromatically? I found Ramsey-bounds for all possible c, as well as strict
bounds for minimal c. Presented work at Southeastern International Conference on Combinatorics and published work in
Congressus Numerantium journal. Worked with Sunny and Kaan. (Ramsey theory, LaTeX, Java, Python)
Research project: given m muffins and s students, cut and distribute the muffins to the students so that each
student receives the same amount of muffin (m/s) and the size of the smallest piece is maximized. Used algorithms,
algebraic techniques, and mathematical arguments to find optimal protocols. Worked with UMD Professor William
Gasarch and others. Presented my work at refereed conference FUN with Algorithms.
Published.
Full PDF. Muffin Book. (Python, Java, LaTeX)
Commutators and Adinkra Matrices in Supersymmetry - research project with Brown Professor Jim Gates.
Used code and modern physics analysis techniques to derive Adinkra coefficients and commutators
in the field of supersymmetry/theory of everything. (Python)
